Visiting: There are regularly scheduled orientations for prospective students, including 8 Discover Newman Days per year. There are guides for informal visits and visitors may sit in on classes and stay overnight. To schedule a visit, contact the Admissions Office.
Financial Aid: In a recent year, 97% of all freshmen and 70% of con¬tinuing students received some form of financial aid. 68% of freshmen and 60% of continuing students received need-based aid. The average recent freshman award was $6475. 97% of undergraduates work part time. International Students: The school actively recruits these students. They must score 530 on the TOEFL.
Computers: The mainframe is a DEC VAX 11. PCs are available in the microcomputer center, library, learning center, and residence hall. All students may access the system. There are no time limits and no fees.
Graduates: The most popular majors were business management (41%), business administration (17%), and elementary education (14%). In an average class, 12% graduate in 3 years, 25% in 4 years, and 27% in 5 years.
