Disabled Students: 85% of the campus is accessible. Wheelchair ramps, elevators, special parking, specially equipped rest rooms, special class scheduling, lowered drinking fountains, lowered telephones, and a campus shuttle service are available.
Services: Counseling and information services are available, as is tuŽtoring in every subject. There is a reader service for the blind, and remeŽdial math, reading, and writing.
Campus Safety and Security: Measures include 24-hour foot and vehicle patrol, self-defense education, escort service, and shuttle buses. There are informal discussions, pamphlets/posters/fiims, emergency telephones, lighted pathways/sidewalks, televised monitors in parking lots, CPR classes, and vehicle assistance devices.

Architecture, engineering, and accounting are the strongest academically. Journalism, animal science, and elementary education are the largest.
Required: To graduate, students must complete 120 to 167 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0. All students must take expository writing, public speaking, and physical fitness.
Special: K-State offers co-op programs, internships, and dual degrees and majors through most of its colleges. Cross-registration is available with Kansas State at Salina and Kansas Wesleyan University, as is study abroad in more than 100 countries. Nondegree study and pass/fail opŽtions are also available. There are 53 national honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, a freshman honors program, and 7 departmental honors programs.
