Visiting: There are regularly scheduled orientations for prospective students, including an interview and campus tour. There are guides for informal visits and visitors may sit in on classes and stay overnight. To schedule a visit, contact the Admissions Office.
Financial Aid: In 1997-98, 87% of all freshmen and 83% of continuing students received some form of financial aid. 82% of all students received need-based aid. The average freshman award was $9444. Of that total, scholarships or need-based grants averaged $3363 ($13,412 maximum); loans averaged $2825 ($5625 maximum); and work contracts averaged $1160 ($1200 maximum). 90% of undergraduates work part time. Average annual earnings from campus work are $1337. The average financial indebtedness of the 1997 graduate was $17,125. Husson is a member of CSS. The FAFSA is required. The fall application deadline is open.
International Students: There are 50 international students enrolled. The school actively recruits these students. Applicants must score 500 on the TOEFL.
Computers: The mainframe is an IBM AS/400. Computer labs with a total of 76 workstations are available exclusively for student use. All students may access the system 24 hours a day. There are no time limits. The fee is $40.
Graduates: In 1997, 265 bachelor’s degrees were awarded. The most popular majors were business administration (40%), accounting (28%), and nursing (15%). 30 companies recruited on campus in 1996-97. Of the 1996 graduating class, 1% were enrolled in graduate school within 6 months of graduation and 93% were employed.
