Programs of Study: Saint Joe’s confers B.A., B.S., B.S.B.A., and B.S.N. degrees. Associate degrees are also awarded. Bachelor’s degrees are awarded in BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE (biology/biological science), BUSINESS {accounting, banking and finance, business administration and management, international business management, management science, and marketing/retailing/merchandising), COMMUNICATIONS AND THE ARTS (communications and English), COMPUTER AND PHYSICAL SCIENCE (mathematics, natural sciences, and radiological technology), EDUCATION (elementary, physical, and secondary), ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN (environmental science), HEALTH PROFESSIONS (nursing, predentistry, premedicine, and prepharmacy), SOCIAL SCIENCE (criminal justice, history, philosophy, prelim, psychology, religion, social work, and sociology). Business, nursing, and communications are the strongest academically. Nursing, business, and elementary education are the largest.
Required: To graduate, all students must complete 12 hours of English, 9 of philosophy, 6 each of religious studies and history, 6 to 8 of science, and 3 each of math, fine arts, and seminar studies. B.A. candidates must also have 6 hours of intermediate-level language. Students must complete 128 to 134 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0, including at least 30 in the major, with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
