Services: Counseling and information services are available, as is tutoring in every subject. There is remedial math, reading, and writing. A full-time learning disability specialist is on staff.

Programs of Study: Unity confers B.A. and B.S. degrees. Associate degrees are also awarded. Bachelor’s degrees are awarded in AGRICULTURE (conservation and regulation and fishing and fisheries), BIOLOGICAL SCIENCE (ecology and wildlife biology), EDUCATION (environmental), ENGINEERING AND ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN (environmental science), SOCIAL SCIENCE (human ecology, interdisciplinary studies, and parks and recreation management). Aquaculture, fisheries, and ecology are the strongest academically. Conservation law enforcement, wilderness-based recreation, and wildlife are the largest.

Required: General education requirements include 38 credits in English composition, oral communication, math, computer science, life science, physical science, and electives, as well as 9 credits in a specialization outside the major field. An internship, thesis, or seminar is required in all bachelor degree programs. To graduate, students must complete at least 120 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Special: The College offers co-op programs, credit-bearing internships, study abroad, a Washington semester, work-study programs, accelerated degree programs, dual and student-designed majors, and credit for life experience. A mentor program, in which a faculty member assists a student with research, is available to those students who earn a minimum GPA of 3.33 in their first 30 credit hours. There is 1 national honor society and a freshman honors program.
